Historical Information
The Lawrence Family first owned the Central Hotel in the 1880's where cob n' co coaches were stabled behind it and visitors from Melbourne came in their horse drawn carriages to sample the fresh produce - all grown in the pub's garden.
More recently, the hotel has undergone extensive refurbishments allowing the magnificent building to become a landmark in Gippsland.Located on the waterfront, The Central Hotel overlooks the front Lake of Cunningham Arm which has also been beautifully reconstructed and is now is the magnificent Cunningham Quay use for local boats and visitors from all over the world.
